Grenville - Carillon, Quebec

These canals and locks were essential for boat traffic between Montreal and the Rideau Waterway. Constructed under the supervision of Lt-Col. Henry Du Vernet; completed in 1834.


Designated as a National Historic Site by the Canadian Society for Civil Engineering
